How to Get a Job Interview

If you’re asking how to get a job interview, you’re asking one of the hardest questions many people are facing these days. With unemployment at an all time high, along with the current recession, getting a job is becoming increasing harder to get. But if you know the right steps you’ll have a job in no time.

What I’m going to be sharing with you is going to be different than what you’re use to if you want to know how to get a job interview. In fact, 99.9% of job seekers don’t use this technique. Which means if you use this technique, you will have tremendous success in getting a job. So how to get a job interview involves creating relationships with the employers. Let me explain.

What you’re going to be doing is calling companies before you ever apply; before you send your resume. The intent behind calling is to create a relationship with the person who is in charge of the hiring. Call them up and ask them a couple of questions about the position. What you’re trying to do with these questions is to determine why the company is hiring and what skills the employer values most.

After asking those questions you will then respond to the answers in such a way that shows that you have those skills. You will show them that you are the best person for them to hire. All you’re doing is creating a relationship and having a conversation. Sometimes, from this conversation alone you can get an interview. And you didn’t even show them your resume! Doesn’t that make more sense than sending your resume and hoping they give YOU a call? Now that’s how to get a job interview.

Good technique if you can somehow have an access to the Hiring Manager. Often getting to the concerned person is not possible …

The hard part is finding those companies that are hiring let alone the “person” who is actually doing the hiring!
