#1 way of looking for a job

You’ve entered into one of the worst recessions we have seen and unemployment is at an all time high. Which makes looking for a job incredibly hard these days. Fortunately, there are a few different things you can do to increase your odds of becoming successful at getting job. If you follow this easy two steps system, it will be the #1 way of looking for a job if you understand it fully.

The first thing you need to do is network, network, network. If you haven’t done so already you need to make sure you tell everyone you know that you are looking for a job. Despite the tough job market there are still jobs out there. And yes, even good jobs. But many of these positions you won’t ever know about unless you tell everyone that you are looking for a job. Tell past professors, friends, family, and acquaintances. By doing this, jobs will come to you. You’ll be tapping into the hidden job market. This is the first step in looking for a job.

The second step is positioning yourself as the best applicant. You need to understand that what REALLY gets you hired is communication. You need to ask yourself the question: “What makes me the best person for the job?” Ask yourself that question. Then, after you answer that, communicate it clearly and concisely to every job you apply for. Communicate it through your cover letter, your resume, over the phone and in person. Communicate this with passion and you will get a job. Looking for a job has never been easier.
